Royal Colleges supporting school attendance

As children and young people return to school, the  Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) has come together with the Royal College of Nursing to brief their members  on the role of healthcare practitioners in promoting school attendance.

School attendance is falling across the UK and the NHS can play an important role in ensuring that children benefit from education.

The RCPCH has a briefing on its website with a list of areas for healthcare professionals to consider when looking after school-age children.
